Kamaliwood Boxers
A lucky child, i was always allowed a dog. No boxers mind you, we had german shepards. My first from being a baby was a stallion of a dog, max. Top end size for the breed he was the most loyal and sound of dogs you should ever hope to own. After max was kim, then the twinkle of my eye zeus!
Well years on, a married woman with our own home, my husband and I bought our first boxer. We named him Neo.
He was a lovley chunky pup and when we saw him we knew he was the one we wanted. We got him from the lichdel kennel. We sat for ages chatting about the boxer, what beautiful dogs Edith has and had. Then it was decied to try rngcraft!
Neo enjoyed the social aspect of chasing the other dogs around the class but not the work involved and certinaly proved he could not stand still. We could see he did not really enjoy it so let him take to playing football in the back garden (which he did enjoy until he burst the ball!)
As Neo grew older we thought it was time to find him a friend,, and along came Ruby.
We got Ruby from a couple who like Edith has been in boxers forever. We went for a flashy dog but ended up falling in love with a plain brindle bitch and that was it, decision made. We would hound Kevin and Val (Lochsunart boxers) until she turned 8 weeks, often just calling in as passing to see how the pups were coming on. She arrived home with us aged 8 weeks, with all the advice my head could carry from their home and our arms full with diet sheets, food, blankets and their famous last words to me,, "Were always here if you ever need us!"
Again I thought I'd try my hand at showing and went with Val to her local ringcraft class, Ruby loved it!
Although Plain, Ruby has a fantastic pedigree and excellent construction. We entered a few open shows and she was often placed infront of flashy competition which pleased me no end. Val invited me along to a few championship shows she was attending with Rubys litter sister Mia,, and i think this was the point , as most boxer exhibitors will tell you, bitten by the show bug , I was hooked!
......From there came our first litter..and our second... then our current show prospects, I was then voted onto the commitee for Tyne Wear and Tee's boxer Club, along came Oli, Maggie, then Lollipop..... and the rest as they say is history, a rather special one at that.
I'd just like to say a big thank you to Edith Tindale for my very special first boxer and introducing me to the world of boxers, and especially to Val and Kevin Mcvay, Who have helped me every step of the way and continue to do so. Who'd of thought life time aftercare from the sale of a pup would lead to such a great friendship. THANKS. x
Zeus was bought as a 6 month old puppy, with bags of charactor. He was always trying to please and never dissapointed, his loyalty was second to none.
A large white boy who impressed all who had the pleasure of meeting him, especially my family.
