Ruby
Its true what they say, you dont know or really apreciate what you have until its gone.
Ruby was THE ONE. You know, the special one in your life you can never replace nor would you ever want to try i suppose.
Ruby was her name, a beautiful plain red/brindle girl, worth her weight in gold.
Bred by Val and Kevin Mcvay (Lochsunart boxers) she joined us at 8 weeks old.
I'd gone for a very flashy, showy dog, but Ruby had other ideas.I have always been a fan of the plains, as soon as i clapped eyes on her strutting her stuff in the garden with her litter mates,, her tail up like a flagpole and her coat glistening in the sun, well there was no other in the running from that moment. We knew she'd be the one to acompany us home.
She taught me everything I know and made it such an enjoyable experience as she done everything I asked of her 100% of the time. Although a plain girl, her fantastic pedigree was there for all to see in her well made body. She had been lightly shown at open shows over the years, often placeing before the more flashy competition. Sadly our golden girl passed away this year while having her 7 boys on 6/10/09.
Gone but never forgotton.
